The following materials will be required as part of your application:
- Application form with your personal information
- Reference summary form listing your two references
- Two letters of reference from your spiritual director; a peer or colleague; your spiritual, religious, or faith community leader; and/or a member of your prayer community.
- A 6-8 page (double-spaced) written life history/spiritual autobiography
THE DEADLINE TO APPLY IS JULY 15, 2024.
After receipt of your application materials, a member of the teaching team will contact you to schedule an interview, which will take place in late July or August.
Our first session takes place the weekend of Sept. 6-8, 2024 at General Butler State Resort Park in Carrollton, KY.

Personal Essay
A 6-8 page (double-spaced) written life history/spiritual autobiography to submit below. This narrative should address the psychological, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of the major events in your life. Please reflect on the following topics:
- Describe some of your significant experiences in relationship with God/Spirit/the Divine/the Sacred and other individuals.
- Describe some learning milestones that have touched your life – formal and/or informal, academic, and/or experiential.
- Describe the value of spiritual direction in your life, if applicable.
- Describe your personal experience of having or not having social capital in your life. For example, you may want to comment on advantages or disadvantages you have experienced in applying for a job, renting an apartment, buying a home, etc.
- At the conclusion of your narrative, please describe what motivates you to explore this program. How do you envision this experience impacting your life and the lives of others?
